About

-I am a human geographer by training, with interests in cultural geography and historical geography.  I have worked in the field of rural community development in Scotland for the past decade, five years of this as an independent consultant. 
-i recently accepted a position as Associate Professor of Rural Development at HLB, the Norwegian University College of Agriculture and Rural Development, in Klepp, Norway. 
-My current research interest is human/non-human animal relations, specifically human-horse relations.  I am a co-founder of the Equine Research Network (EqRN) and host the EqRN website on my own site.  It can be found at www.eqrn.net
-I have published about Community Forestry, Assets-based Rural Community Development, Masculinities, and Equine Landscapes.
